OUR EVENTS

All of our events will have a goal to either develop community-based relationships, or raise necessary funds for the school, or both.

During the time of COVID there is very little any of us can do on a practical level. The school have asked for no events to occur on school grounds until further notice, and therefore any fundraising will need to be done via virtual events or direct donations. We will let you know when things start up again!

However, when our calendar returns to normal, our regular events are as follows.

Our events: What We Do

OUR REGULAR EVENTS

MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING

This usually occurs during the 1st week in October to welcome new parents and catch up with old friends.

There’s no fixed fundraising agenda apart from supporting another very good cause. We hope it can build relationships and break the ice for new parents.

AN EVENING AT THE PUB

This also usually occurs at the beginning of the school year.

This is another meet and greet with no fundraising agenda. It’s an opportunity for parents and carers to meet, particularly for those who work work during the day.

CROFTMAS

This is both a community building event and a fundraiser which extends outside the school gates. It’s an opportunity for everyone in the local area to support local community organisations and business’ either on the strip or in the market on the school grounds.

Funds are raised through stall holders, the bouncy castle, raffle and a grotto if we can manage one.

THE FUN RUN

This is a wonderful afternoon for all families to either kick off the school healthy living week.

Its casual run for pupils and it is one of the favourite events in the calendar. Funds are raised through sponsorship from friends and family.

THE SUMMER FAIR

A celebration for the end of a long year. At its heart it’s a party to thank staff and congratulate children for their hard work. It’s a fundraiser too, but not the most important part. In fact it’s the only event the school ask us to put on, so is a very important part of our calendar.

BRICKFIELDS QUIZ

An event for parents who also need to celebrate the end of another school year. Organised by Emily and Ed at Brickfields , this very relaxed and intimate evening is a real blast.

You will need to keep your eyes open for the tickets as they go quickly.

OTHER THINGS WE TRY TO DO

but can't always

AN EVENING FOR GROWN UPS

Most years we will also have a bit of a bash for parents to get to know each other. In the past we have done the Auction of Promises, a night at the Rivoli Ballroom  and quiz nights.

Parents have suggested a band night in the pub and wine and cheese evenings as an alternative option. These are possible future ideas which a group of parents could do once large gatherings are permitted again.

SOMETHING FOR THE KIDS

Each year we would normally run an event for the children to come together and have a party of sorts! Last year’s disco was a blast. We have also movie nights and are keen for new ideas and energy.
